Dragon-A-Day Online: Day 1,111: Heavy Metal.

I realized that this was day eleven-eleven (and only just learned the cultural significance of that number, or pair of numbers) very late this evening, though I’ve done something in honor of the occasion before.

Anyhoo, in the middle of Googling around before I found the actual importance of the number, two things happened:

First, I decided I ought to draw a metallic dragon from D&D, because it seems too appropriate not to do it. Then, I discovered that Appreciate A Dragon Day exists.

Aside from gold and silver, the original metallic dragons all kind of run together in my mind; they’re notoriously good-aligned, so there’s no real need to worry about them, as a player or a DM, except for the odd ally or legend. There’s a lot more interesting lore and effort put into differentiating the habits and fobiles of the chromatic dragons, and with good reason- villains are always more interesting.

Anyhow, I told you all that to explain why I ended up drawing an Adamantine Dragon from 4th Edition:
